We're looking for an angel for Athos
The very first time we saw Athos on 31.01.17 in the Bacau Public Shelter we were only able to help a few dogs on that visit but we took pictures of many... why? I don't know, maybe we thought that by taking their picture meant they stood some chance, a chance of them not being forgotten and maybe one day we could go back for them.
However, it was fate for Athos to be with us as a couple of months later we saved a number of dogs from outside the public shelter, they had somehow escaped but hung around for scraps of food as after all "it was sort of their home"
We don't know how long Athos had been in the public shelter but the dog we saw in the pen had lost hope, given up and was very depressed, his eyelid was slashed, he was a sorry state but physically in good shape compared to others there.
Fast forward and Athos has been at our shelter now for just under 2 years.
Sadly as an adult medium size male, they are less popular with regards to being adopted.
Athos is a different dog to the dog we saw at the public shelter, we can't say that he enjoys shelter life but he loves human contact and recently he had the luxury of going out for a walk... well, that meant the world to him. He behaved like a superstar, he was excellent in the car, a pro on the lead and was a complete gentleman with the other four male doggies.
Athos really does get on well with other dogs, over his time here he has shared his kennel with many other doggies, we would love for Athos's new home to have a resident female doggie however he is confident enough to be homed as an only dog.
Athos is approx 4 years old and is neutered.
I'm sure you will agree he has the most incredible colouring, he's very unusual. He will make a very loyal companion.
The question is... Are you his angel?
