Louie (Lunes) was found at 2 months of age after being attacked by larger dogs. He seemed to have problems with his back legs and the team weren’t sure he would ever be steady enough to walk. However, fast forward 4 months and Louie has gained strength in his legs and is thriving in foster in the UK.
It turns out that the most likely scenario is that Louie was born with a curved spine which caused him to have problems walking, meaning that it was likely Louie’s problems that lead the dogs to gang up on him in the first place. Either way it was a miracle that he was found as he would have had no real chance on the streets fending for himself.
Now we understand the cause of Louie’s gait and why he has oopsies and falls down we know what he needs moving forward. Louie doesn’t require any ongoing vet treatment and he is pain free but he will never be a dog that can go hiking. In fact, playtimes in the garden and short walks will be sufficient for Louie, provided he has lots of toys as these come a close second to food as his favourite things in life.
Could you offer Louie his very own forever home?
Dogs in Romania, will be transported to the UK by Sadie's stray dog rescue.
